Established in 1994 by our Lord Jesus Christ through missionaries from Canada - Rick and Carol Pinczuk.



Rick's parents were Ukrainians who moved to Germany in search of job before the Second World War began. There Rick Pinczuk was born in 1947.

Rick's parents were christians. After the War they was lucky to leave Germany for Australia, where Rick was raised and became Christian.
When he was 18 years of age he moved to the USA in order to study at Christian University. After graduation he moved to Canada to get some Ukrainian language and literature classes.
His desire and dream was to live in Ukraine, where he wanted to preach the Gospel.
When the iron curtain fell and there was no Soviet Union any more he was given this opportunity and traveled to Ukraine with his wife and three daughters.
In the beggining of his work he founded Slavic Evangelism Ministry in Ukraine too, which did a lot of humanitarian service. Later on in 1994 Shevchenko Church of Christ was born in Kyiv.

We believe in:

- Absolute authority of the Word of God, the Bible.
- God's Word is inspired by the Holy Spirit and cosist of everything that is needed for our salvation.
- We believe in the Holy Trinity – God the Father- God the Son- God the Holy Spirit. He is One in three Persons.
- We believe in Jesus Christ, Who came into this world in flesh, lived sinless life, died on the Calvary cross for our sins so that we might have rensome. We believe that He raised from the dead on the third day just as He promised, sent us The Holy Spirit, Who teaches us and brings Christians on to their own cross to die to themselves. Christ will come back the second time to reward those who stayed faithfull to Him and to give what disobedient people chose to receive along with satan and his angels.
- We believe, that in order to be saved each one of us needs to proclaime Jesus as his own Savior, repent of sins, turn from sinfull life and be buptised (under water) in conscious age. When it all is done we receive remission of sins and become a part of Christ's Body, Church, and from this moment and on we have to obey all the Commendments that Christ left for us.


Today there are about 60 members of the Shevchenko Church of Christ. Many people were lost because of often changes of the places we worship in.

That is why our main desire and prayer is when God allows to have a fix Church building some day.

Our worship services are presently held at the following adress: Ukraine, Kyiv, Dovzhenko str. 12a.

Thursday: 6.30 - 7.30 PM
Sunday: 10.00-10.50 AM (meeting for men)
11.00-11.50 AM (Bible class)
11.50-13.15 PM (Worship service)

Youth meetings are held every Sunday at 2.30 - 3.30 PM.
